SECRET is a messaging project focused on end-to-end encryption, pseudonymous device identity and minimising server-side data.
The relay handles encrypted message packages; message content is intended to be decrypted on participant devices.
No phone number is required for messenger identity. A clean reinstall creates a new device identity.
Private installation keys are generated and used on-device with Android Keystore.
Undelivered encrypted messages may remain queued for up to 7 days and are removed from the delivery queue after delivery.
PIN access control and encrypted local storage protect application data on the device.
No phone number or uploaded address book is required for core messaging.
SECRET is under active development and closed testing. This website does not represent a final production launch.
